DESCRIPTION:Celebrate these worldwide events by watching birds wherever you are and entering your observations on ebird.org.  The theme of this year’s World Migratory Bird Day is “Sing\, Fly\, Soar\, Like a Bird” to highlight the need for international cooperation to save birds and their habitats. \nJoin us at Lake Capote at 8:30 AM to see who’s there.  A $5.00/vehicle fee is charged at this private lake owned by the Southern Ute Tribe.  You can check out the new wildlife crossing structures being erected near the 160/151 intersection area.

DESCRIPTION:The Weminuche Audubon Society chapter will be meeting at the Community Methodist Church on Lewis St for our October meeting on Wednesday\, October 20.  Set up and socializing will start at 6:00 PM with the meeting at 6:30.   \nIn what is becoming an annual tradition\, our October meeting will highlight the excellent wildlife photography and storytelling abilities of our members.  Photographers are asked to bring several photos on a flash drive that can be shared on a screen.  We also intend to broadcast the meeting over Zoom for those unable to attend the meeting in person.  The meeting link for those unable to attend in person follows. \nChapter memberships will be available at the meeting.
