SUMMARY:June Plant Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and educational ramble through the forest\, led by certified herbalist Lake McCullough\,  as we identify edible and medicinal native plants. The walks are free of charge! Offered in partnership with the Weminuche Audubon Society. In order to handle increased popularity and demand for information about our local ecosystems\, we will be conducting two back-to-back plant walks at each location. The first tour will begin at 9:30 and run until 11:30. The second tour will begin at 11:45 and go until 1:45.  \nEarly summer herbs\, wildflowers\, and edible plants in the most widespread ecosystem of Pagosa Country! Meet at Turkey Springs Trail System Gate #3\, on Fremont Court. From Highway 160\, take North Pagosa Boulevard north for 5 miles. The road forms a divided\, one-way section. At the point where both sides of North Pagosa Blvd rejoin\, take a sharp left-hand turn\, doubling back on the southbound section of the road for 100 feet before taking the immediate next right at Coronado Circle. Immediately after the intersection\, take the next right on Fremont Court. Please be considerate of private driveways when parking along the road. Walks are about 2 miles roundtrip. Please be prepared for rugged trails and unpredictable weather\, and leave dogs at home. \nThese popular tours book up early and advance registration is required.  There is a 15 person limit on each walk.  To reserve a spot\, call Lake at 970-398-0923.  Be sure to shop in her store\, Earthsense Herbals on Main St\, for natural remedies\, gift items\, handmade jewelry and artwork and so much more. \nAdditional walks will be held in July and August.

SUMMARY:Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The month of June marks the end of our fiscal year and time for our annual meeting.  Our bylaws dictate that the annual meeting will include a report on the state of the chapter\, a report on our financial condition and elections to the board.  This year board positions with terms expiring are those of Secretary (Lisa Tedder)\, Treasurer (Anne Stevens) and Director (Brenda Breding).  The board is nominating all three of these members for re-election to their current positions.  Nominations from the floor for these positions will also be taken at our meeting\,  All chapter members whose dues are current are able to vote in these elections.\nEqually important is the opportunity to enjoy time together at this meeting.  As has been our tradition\, we will enjoy a potluck dinner.  Please bring a dish to share\, your dinnerware and silver.  We will provide drinks.\nThis meeting will be the chance to renew your membership for the coming year.  We are able to keep our dues at the current $15/year rate.\nThis is also a great time to show your support with the purchase of an attractive Weminuche Audubon tshirt.  Shirts are $22 each\, cash or check.\nWe will meet at the Community United Methodist Church on Lewis St at 5:30 PM on Wednesday\, June 21\, Please note the earlier start time for this meeting. We hope to see you there!!!!    We expect the business meeting to begin about 6:30. \nUse the following link to join us by Zoom \nJoin Zoom Meeting\nhttps://us06web.zoom.us/j/82000593178?pwd=N3NXMUs5U2o1SkFlTjlNaXZMSjhsZz09 \nMeeting ID: 820 0059 3178\nPasscode: 711849 \n— \nOne tap mobile\n+17193594580\,\,82000593178#\,\,\,\,*711849# US\n+13462487799\,\,82000593178#\,\,\,\,*711849# US (Houston) \n— \nDial by your location\n• +1 719 359 4580 US\n• +1 346 248 7799 US (Houston)\n• +1 669 444 9171 US\n• +1 669 900 6833 US (San Jose)\n• +1 253 205 0468 US\n• +1 253 215 8782 US (Tacoma)\n• +1 309 205 3325 US\n• +1 312 626 6799 US (Chicago)\n• +1 360 209 5623 US\n• +1 386 347 5053 US\n• +1 507 473 4847 US\n• +1 564 217 2000 US\n• +1 646 931 3860 US\n• +1 689 278 1000 US\n• +1 929 205 6099 US (New York)\n• +1 301 715 8592 US (Washington DC)\n• +1 305 224 1968 US \nMeeting ID: 820 0059 3178\nPasscode: 711849 \nFind your local number: https://us06web.zoom.us/u/kdMAmI6ZZV
