SUMMARY:April Chapter Meeting - Birds and More
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to find out what our Audubon Chapter is up to at our April meeting.  Our active members welcome your participation in a variety of projects.  Yes\, we survey birds and will be gearing up for our early summer counts in the National Forest in May and June.  We visit local rivers to document nesting success of the amazing American Dipper\, conduct tours of the Riverwalk Wetland area\, maintain our beautiful Native Plant Garden\, lead birding tours\, volunteer in youth education programs and more.  Project leaders will be on hand to describe what is involved to join in on the fun. \nWe meet at the Community United Methodist Church on Lewis St. All interested parties are welcome to attend.  Enter through the side door closest to the parking lot or let us know to open the main door for handicap entry.  Join us at 6 PM for socializing and refreshments before the meeting begins at 6:30. SUMMARY:GGP Earth Day Environmental Film Showing
DESCRIPTION:The event will kick off with a short piece by local filmmaker\, Darryl Saffer\, entitled Pagosa is My Name followed  with a live screening of the film\, Common Ground\, a sequel to Kiss the Ground\, which grabbed audience’s attention with regenerative agriculture solutions to combat the climate crisis. As part of a “Global Watch Party”\, we will be watching the initial streaming of the film along with millions of people worldwide.
